Preamble
Welcome to Sarhny. This document is a legal contract between you and Sarhny, the company operating the platform. Read it in full before using any of our services. By using Sarhny — as an app or website — you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms with full will and complete legal capacity. If you do not agree to any single clause, do not use the platform, and delete your account if one has been created.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
a. You must be 18 years of age or older. b. You must have full legal capacity to sign a binding contract in your country of residence. c. You must use your name or a username that does not impersonate a real person. d. One account per natural person. e. Your acceptance constitutes an electronic contract under Saudi Electronic Transactions Law.
2. Service description
Sarhny is an Arabic social communication platform that lets you receive anonymous and non-anonymous messages, reply publicly or privately, publish moments and thoughts under the crystallization system, receive reflective mirrors, generate an AI Personality article, participate in the Challenge game, and build a daily streak. We reserve the right to develop, add, or discontinue features with reasonable advance notice.
3. Content responsibility
You — alone — are legally and ethically responsible for every word you write, every image, video, voice recording, or link you upload, and any harm your content may inflict on any person. Sarhny — as a platform — does not endorse user content, and does not exercise comprehensive pre-emptive monitoring.
4. Expressly prohibited content
Absolutely and without exception prohibited: · Any explicit sexual content · Content depicting or identifying a minor in any form · Harassment, threats, insult, hate speech, discrimination · Incitement to violence, terrorism, suicide, self-harm · Publishing another person's data without consent (Doxxing) · Infringing third-party intellectual property · Fraud, suspicious crypto, pyramid marketing · Anything constituting a crime under Saudi Anti-Cyber Crime Law · Software automation (bots, scrapers)
5. Platform's right to remove and suspend
We reserve — at absolute discretion — the rights to: · Hide or delete violating content · Temporarily suspend your account (24-72h) to review a report · Permanently close your account for material violations · Refuse to reopen any permanently closed account · Cooperate with authorities upon documented legal request You may appeal in writing within 14 days to appeals@sarhny.com. Final decision within 30 days.
6. Reporting and response mechanism
All posted content is reportable via the "Report" button, abuse@sarhny.com, or safety@sarhny.com for critical cases. Binding response times: · 2 hours maximum for reports involving a minor or imminent threat · 24 business hours for serious reports · 48 business hours for routine reports We commit to notifying the reporter of the decision within these timeframes.
7. Privacy and user data protection
For full Privacy Policy details, see: sarhny.com/en/privacy In brief: · We do not reveal anonymous senders' identities under any normal circumstance · We retain pseudonymous technical data (IP hash) for security only · We do not share your data with any advertising network · You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, and portability under PDPL and GDPR
8. Intellectual property rights
a. Ownership of your content: it remains your property. b. License: you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license that allows us to display the content within the platform, back it up, and display it in link previews when shared. The license terminates when you delete the content or your account. c. Platform ownership: everything belonging to the platform (logo, trade name, code, design, algorithms, crystallization philosophy) is owned by Sarhny. Copying or imitating without written permission is prohibited.
9. AI and the "Personality" feature
The "Personality" feature uses Google Gemini to generate a personal article from your answers. Usage terms: · You press "request generation" — we don't generate without your request · Draft stays in your account until you press "publish" · You acknowledge that you have reviewed the text and bear responsibility for publishing · Published article carries an "Author Disclosure" statement · You may edit or delete at any time · The article does not represent verified facts · We reserve the right to hide any article violating content policy
10. In-platform advertising
No personalized or behavioral tracking advertising appears on Sarhny. We do not share your data with any advertising network. We may display in the future: · Internal advertisements promoting Sarhny products · Limited brand partnerships (with explicit disclosure) Any advertisement will be clearly marked with "paid" or "ad".
11. Paid subscriptions
Sarhny is fundamentally free. We may offer paid subscriptions later. Terms: · Payment via app store (Apple/Google) under their terms · Auto-renews unless canceled 24h before · Refunds per store policy · Cancellation does not delete account, only stops paid features · We reserve the right to change prices with 30 days notice
12. Governing law and dispute resolution
a. Governing law: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. b. Jurisdiction: Saudi courts, specifically Riyadh. c. Amicable resolution: 30 days attempted settlement before litigation. Contact: legal@sarhny.com. d. Mediation: Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration available. e. Authoritative language: Arabic version.
13. Disclaimer
Sarhny provides services "as is" without warranties. We do not warrant: · Always-available service (we aim for 99.5% uptime) · That automated detection catches all violating content · That other users' behavior will be appropriate We are not responsible for: · Psychological harm from anonymous messages · Harm inflicted by other users · Downtime due to technical or force majeure causes
14. Force majeure
Sarhny bears no responsibility for breach resulting from force majeure, including: · Natural disasters · War, terrorism, civil unrest · Widespread power outages · Major cyberattacks · Binding governmental decisions (such as site blocking) · Infrastructure provider service outages
15. Changes to terms
We may update these terms. For material changes: · Clear notice in your settings for 30 days · Email to your registered address · Updated "Last updated" date · Continued use 30 days after announcement = acceptance Historical versions preserved, request from legal@sarhny.com.
