Why 'mirrors' rather than 'anonymous messages'?
Anonymous messages are the old format: random texts arrive without context. Mirrors are different: you choose the question first, share the link with explicit framing, and the answers arrive organised and aimed at one specific question. The difference is the difference between an unsolicited email and a structured interview.
Creating your first mirror
1) Open Sarhny, tap the Mirrors tab, then New Mirror. 2) Write one specific question (e.g. 'What's one behavior of mine you wish I'd stop?'). 3) The platform generates a short shareable link. 4) Share that link on Instagram Stories, X, or in a group chat. 5) Answers arrive anonymously inside the mirror page; you can read them whenever you like. Rule of thumb: wait a full week before reading. This gives you enough accumulation to see patterns rather than react to individual answers.
Examples of effective mirrors
1) 'What's one thing I do that I don't realise I'm doing?' — surfaces a real blind spot. 2) 'When was I at my best over the past year?' — reveals when you're at your peak. 3) 'Describe me in three words' — classic, and effective because most people answer. 4) 'If you were giving me one piece of advice for tomorrow, what would it be?' — direct and actionable. Avoid overly broad questions like 'what do you think of me' — they produce shallow answers.
Extra mirror features
You can set mirror duration (7 days, 30 days, or permanent). You can configure notifications — alert on each new answer, or just a daily summary. You can export answers as text for keeping. And you can link a mirror to a post on the public feed to increase response volume.
FAQ
Can the responder see the other answers on my mirror?
By default no — answers are private to you as the mirror owner. But you can enable 'public answers' if you want everyone to see them. This is useful for educational or entertainment mirrors.
How many mirrors can I create?
Free account: up to 3 active mirrors at the same time. Premium: unlimited, plus PDF export and detailed analytics.
Can someone send abusive answers to my mirror?
Technically yes, but Sarhny applies automatic filtering for explicit abuse, and the owner can delete any answer with one tap. If you receive a genuinely hurtful answer, report it — the system tracks the sender internally without revealing identity to you.
How long until I get answers on a new mirror?
Depends on how widely you share the link. A share to 500 Instagram Story viewers typically produces 10–30 answers in 24 hours. A group-chat share to 20 people produces 5–15. Don't rush — mirrors gain value as answers accumulate over a week.
