Some games are over in five minutes. My Farm is the opposite: a farm that keeps living while your phone is in your pocket, a companion animal that remembers whether you looked after it yesterday, and a valley full of farms that belong to the people you already talk to. This guide walks through the whole loop of My Farm in Sarhny (صارحني), from choosing your first companion to growing a shared tree with someone close to you, so your first week goes smoothly instead of ending with a field of withered lettuce.

What My Farm is

My Farm is a farming and pet-care game built into the Sarhny app. It sits as the first big card in the Arena tab, next to the other Sarhny games. At its centre is your companion, an animal you pick and name on day one. Around it you get fields to plant, a well to water from, storage, a market, a village order board and workshops that open up as your farm grows.

The farm runs on Sarhny's servers, not on your phone. That has two consequences worth knowing before you start. First, time is real: crops grow while you are away, and days and seasons follow Riyadh time. Second, you need an internet connection and a signed-in account to play, but your progress is tied to that account, so changing phones does not cost you your farm. The My Farm game page has a short summary if you want the overview before the detail.

Getting started, step by step

  1. Sign in to the Sarhny app, open the Arena tab and tap My Farm. If you do not have an account yet, you can create one here.
  2. On “Choose your companion”, pick one of the four starters: a horse, an oryx, a rabbit or a fennec fox. The other species are listed as locked, together with what it takes to unlock them.
  3. Keep the suggested name or type your own, then tap “Start my farm”.
  4. Follow the “First steps” list. These ten early tasks teach planting, watering, harvesting and companion care, and each one gives you experience. Every screen also has a “?” button, and the farm guide lives under “More”.
  5. Plant your first seeds, water them from the well and come back later to harvest. Sell the crop in the Market or deliver it to Village orders.

Farming: plant, water, harvest

Each field responds to a short list of actions: plant, water, harvest, clear, fertilize and remove pests. The first crops are lettuce, clover, carrots and wheat. As you level up you unlock chamomile, melon, bamboo, the fire pepper and the moonrose, which only grows at night. Every crop has its own growing time and number of waterings, and planting out of season slows it down. Trees such as the date palm and the apple tree take days to mature and then fruit on a regular cycle.

Water comes from the well, which refills over time. The weather changes between clear skies, rain, heat waves and storms, and a rain shower waters every field for you. Neglect has a cost, though. A thirsty crop withers and can then die, a ripe crop left too long starts to spoil, pests cut the harvest, and fertilizer raises it. As you progress, the land expands in rings around your farm, which gives you more fields to manage.

Your companion: five stages and a growing bond

Your companion has five needs: food, water, cleanliness, happiness and energy. Keep them in good shape across a day and that day counts as a care day. Care also raises your bond, which runs from level 0 to 10. Care days and bond together move your companion through five stages: Baby, Young, Adult, Seasoned and Legendary. Some stages also ask for an upgraded companion house.

Every species has favourite foods. The rabbit prefers carrots and lettuce, the horse likes apples and carrots, the oryx goes for dates, and the fennec fox enjoys eggs and melon. The companion encyclopedia, found under “More”, records every companion you raise and shows what each one eats and how to unlock it.

Neglect shows on your companion too. It gets hungry first. If the neglect continues it gets sick and needs medicine plus three days of care to recover. Stay away long enough and it runs away to the forest, and you will have to search for it on the map. The simplest habit that prevents all of this is a short daily visit.

Buildings, workshops and village orders

You begin with a main house, a well, storage, a companion house, a wall, a chicken coop and a sawmill. Feed wheat to the chickens and they give you eggs and feathers. Workshops open in groups as your farm level rises, including the rope maker, the stone carver and the smelter, and they turn your crops and materials into products. Upgrading buildings earns experience, and you start with two builders who can work at the same time.

Your farm level runs from 1 to 100, and the farm level sheet shows what the next levels will unlock. The two currencies are gold and emeralds. Market prices change from day to day, so Village orders are the steadier way to earn gold: they tell you exactly what the village wants and pay you for it.

Where Sarhny comes in: your activity waters your farm

This is not a farm game sitting on its own island. The farm Mailbox is labelled “Rewards from your activity on Sarhny”, and it turns what you do in the rest of the app into farm supplies:

  • anonymous messages you receive become rain drops;
  • answers you publish become feed sacks and experience;
  • messages you send to others become water buckets;
  • comments you leave on other people's replies become seed packets;
  • full-match wins against real players in the other Arena games become ore chests.

Each reward type has a daily cap, so the Mailbox rewards steady everyday use rather than spam. On top of that there is a Daily chest: open the farm each day and a gift chest lands in the Mailbox, and a longer streak means a bigger chest. If you are looking for things to answer, our list of honest questions to ask friends is a good place to start a conversation that also keeps your fields wet.

The Valley: visit the people you follow

The Valley is subtitled “Farms of the people you follow”. It gathers the farms of people you follow on Sarhny, plus some active neighbours. In other words, your in-game neighbours are the same people whose answers you read and whose links you message. If your Valley is empty, follow your friends and their farms appear there, ready to visit.

On a visit you can pet their companion, water their crops, clear pests and give gifts from your storage. You can also pick a little from a ripe field, but the farm's guard may catch you: you pay a fine in gold and your name shows up as caught.

You stay in control of your own farm. In Settings, “Who can visit my farm” offers Everyone, People I follow or Nobody. “My visitors” lists who came by in the last 30 days and what they did, and blocked users do not appear in your Valley.

The Heart garden: a tree you grow together

The Heart garden is built for two. You choose one person from your Sarhny heart circle and send a request. Once they accept, you plant a heart tree, and it grows only on days when you both water it. The tree passes through ten stages, from a seed on the first day to the eternal tree after 365 shared days. Along the way you can leave short notes on its leaves, vote on the flower colour, collect heart fruit and decorate the garden with items such as a wind chime, a bench, a swing, lanterns and a plaque with both names.

You also choose who can see your names. “Secret” shows your partner “someone from your heart circle” instead of your name, and they may guess three times a month. “Just us” lets the two of you see each other's names while visitors see only the tree. “Public” puts both names on the plaque, in the Valley and on visits. When the two of you pick different settings, the more private choice wins.

Tips for a healthy first week

  • Water before you close the app. Thirst is the fastest way to lose a crop.
  • Plant quick crops when you can check back soon, and slow ones before bed.
  • Lean on Village orders for gold instead of selling everything at the Market.
  • Do not skip a whole day of companion care; consecutive care days are what grow it.
  • Visit friends and water their fields; your help appears in their visitor log.
  • Open the Mailbox daily to collect your Sarhny activity rewards and the Daily chest.

My Farm rewards small, regular visits more than long sessions. Pick a companion you like, follow a few friends so your Valley fills up, and let the rest of your time on Sarhny quietly keep the rain coming. For the other games in the Arena, see our guide to every Sarhny game.

Frequently asked questions

How do I start My Farm in Sarhny?

Sign in to the Sarhny app, open the Arena tab and tap My Farm. Choose one of the four starter companions (horse, oryx, rabbit or fennec fox), name it and tap «Start my farm». The «First steps» list then guides you through planting, watering and harvesting.

Does My Farm work offline?

No. The farm runs on Sarhny's servers with real time passing, so it needs an internet connection and a signed-in account. Your progress is tied to your account, so it is not lost if you change phones.

Can I visit my friends' farms?

Yes. The Valley shows the farms of people you follow plus some active neighbours. You can water their crops, pet their companion, clear pests, give gifts, or pick from a ripe field at the risk of being caught by the guard and fined.

What is the Heart garden?

A shared tree you grow with one person from your Sarhny heart circle. It grows only on days you both water it and passes through ten stages, up to the eternal tree after 365 shared days. You choose Secret, Just us or Public visibility, and the more private choice wins.

What happens if I stop playing for a while?

Crops keep growing, but thirsty ones wither and ripe ones can spoil. Your companion gets hungry, then sick, and after a long absence it can run away, so you would need to search for it on the map.
